FIFA World Cup 2014 - Brazil
Brazil, a vibrant mix of stunning scenery and bulging cities of people with a passion for one thing... FOOTBALL...
I spent a little over 4 weeks traveling through Brazil with 3 mates. We chose a different path to all other Aussie's, as our journey took us from the coast line, deep into the city and up into the Amazon jungle.

Bali - April 2014
I had a job in Bali shooting the Niksoma Hotel in Legian. I managed to sneak over a few days before work.
I took Elle with me, as we scored epic waves, eat awesome food and had a hell of a time!
Blue Hazed Beauty
Sydney can be a bit much sometimes. Consistency in stimuli means that it’s hard to switch off. At times living within a local bubble can seem to be a well lubricated mix of comfort, laziness and lack of imagination.
Zoom out 6 times on Google Maps and what you’ll realise, is that our concrete jungle is nestled tightly in amongst much greenery, mountains and some incredible natural landforms. Escape. Find an adventure in the forest. We did!
Australian Open Of Surfing 2014
With only a few days of sunshine the whole week, a couple of dark clouds and some light drizzle wasn't going to dampen the moods of Manly.
With names like Julian Wilson, Dane Reynolds, Bob Burnquist and Birds Of Tokyo amongst the list of entertainers, the weeks action accommodated for the likes of everyone!
Unfortunately the heavens opened on finals day, resulting in the cancellation of the skateboarding, but nevertheless the surfing made up for it with clean 2-3 foot peaks.
Big congratulations to Adriano De Souza and Carissa Moore for taking out the Mens and Ladies titles respectively at the Australian Open of Surfing.
Thundercloud World Premiere – Sydney, 13th February, 2014
In June of 2012, Fiji’s Cloudbreak delivered one of surfing’s most historical days.
A momentous swell rolled smack-bang into the middle of the contest window for one of professional surfing’s most anticipated events, the Volcom Fiji Pro, and surf fans salivated at the thought of the world’s top rated surfers being put to the ultimate test.
As many contestants prepared themselves to face down the fear of annihilation at the hands of the ocean at it's most awe-inspiring, a decision was eventually made to call off the event. It was a decision that divided the surfing world and cast further doubt over the professionalism of the sport.
A select few paddled out anyway, and joined by a host of big-wave surfing’s most dedicated performers, uncovered a new realm of bravado. A realm where immortality was not certain, but certainly tested and where Cloudbreak, a wave that had been off limits to the surfing public since its discovery in the early 80s, revealed herself as almost inexplicably frightening and simultaneously beautiful.
“ThunderCloud” is the documentary that traces the history of one of the world’s most controversial and revered surfspots through to this epic day.
Directed, produced, filmed and edited over three years by Talon Clemow, this independent production by One Palm Media stars: Mark Healey (Haw), Shane Dorian (Haw), Reef McIntosh (Haw), Greg Long (USA), Joel Parkinson (AUS), Laurie Towner (AUS), Grant “Twiggy” Baker (ZAF), Dave Wassal (Haw), Mick Fanning (AUS), Makua Rothman (Haw), Ryan Hipwood (AUS), Kelly Slater (USA).
Friday Funday @ Whaley Wedge
A 2m SE swell was on the cards for Friday morning, the winds were light and the boys were psyched. The wedge was really slabby, with the odd gem rolling through! Ozzie stuck to his favorite left hander while Otis split from the crew out wedge and hunted some fast right handers down the beach.
Lookout Light
A quick 20 min drive past Bayview and up West head road for some nice arvo light!
Australia Day 2014
